Potenza is a radio frequency microneedling device we use to target fine lines, wrinkles, acne scarring, and skin laxity. Potenza is probably our best treatment to really target and tighten loose skin, especially on the neck and around the eyes. At deeper depths, radio frequency can also target the jowl area and submental fullness, contouring the lower face and jawline while tightening the skin at the same time. HOW TO PREPARE
We want your skin in the most natural state possible. Two weeks before your appointment, avoid the following:
- Sun exposure
- All tanning lotions, sprays, or pills
- Tanning beds
WHAT TO EXPECT
Immediately after treatment, you may experience mild swelling, redness, and itchiness — this is common and should resolve itself within 2 to 24 hours.
WHAT TO AVOID AFTER TREATMENT
- Makeup for at least 48 hours after treatment
- Strenuous exercise for 24 hours after treatment
- AHA, retinol, vitamin C, and exfoliating products for 48 hours after the treatment
- Facials, waxing, glycolic or AHA peels, BBL or energy-based treatments, microneedling, and microdermabrasion for 2 weeks after treatment
- Sun exposure without sunscreen
- Saunas or steam rooms for 1 week
HOW TO CARE
- A Cold compress may be used as needed
- Do not touch your face for the remainder of the day and night post-treatment
- The morning after the treatment, clean your skin with cool water and gentle cleanser — followed by a moisturizer and sunscreen
