HOW TO PREPARE
We want your skin in the most natural state possible. Two weeks prior to your appointment avoid the following:
- Sun exposure
- All tanning lotions, sprays, or pills
- Tanning beds
- Medications that increase photosensitivity
*Important note: laser services cannot be performed on patients who are pregnant or breastfeeding
WHAT TO EXPECT
- A topical numbing will be applied for 45-60 minutes once you arrive for your treatment
- With Sofwave™ there will be short periods of intense heating and cooling throughout the treatment
- Your face may appear flushed which fades within a short time after your service
- With Potenza™ RF Microneedling, immediately after treatment you may experience mild swelling, redness and itchiness – this is common and typically subside within 2 to 24 hours
WHAT TO AVOID AFTER TREATMENT
- Makeup for at least 48 hours after treatment
- Strenuous exercise for 24 hours after treatment
- AHA, retinols, vitamin C, and exfoliating products for 48 hours after the treatment
- Facials, waxing, glycolic or AHA peels, BBL or energy-based treatments, microneedling, and microdermabrasion for 2 weeks after treatment
- Sun exposure without sunscreen
- Saunas or steam rooms for 1 week
HOW TO CARE
- Cold compress may be used as needed
- Do not touch face for the remainder of the day and night post-treatment
- The morning after the treatment, clean skin with cool water and gentle cleanser – followed by a moisturizer and sunscreen
- Use antibiotic creams if prescribed
FAQ’s:
A good candidate is typically those in their 30s and older who have mild to moderate skin aging. The patient should have some degree of fine lines and wrinkles.
Immediate results can be seen as soon as 1 week following treatment. However, the collagen regeneration process can sometimes take up to 12 weeks, so patients are expected to see ongoing improvements in 3 months after their treatment
The treatment is typically 1 hour with added time allowed for numbing cream.
