HOW TO PREPARE
- Please ensure that the area is shaved at least 24 hours before your appointment.
- No makeup/lotion/deodorant on the day of your appointment (in the treatment area).
- Avoid waxing/threading/tweezing in the area for at least 4 weeks. Shaving is okay!
*Important note: laser services cannot be performed on patients who are either pregnant or breastfeeding.
WHAT TO EXPECT
- During the treatment, you will likely feel light, warm, snapping sensations.
- The treated area may be extremely warm 1-2 hours after treatment and may continue for 12-24 hours.
- Redness is normal and typically subsides in 2-3 days.
- Minor swelling immediately after treatment is normal & typically subsides in 2-3 days.
- You may notice what seems like hair growth for 7 to 30 days after treatment. This is not new hair growing, but rather the shredding of treated hairs from the skin.
HOW TO CARE
- It is normal for the treated area to feel like a sunburn for a few hours. If the sensitivity continues, you should use a cold compress.
- Use a gentle cleanser & no makeup, lotion, moisturizer, or deodorant for the first 24 hours.
- Avoid swimming, particularly in pools containing chemicals, jacuzzis& saunas, activities that lead to excessive sweating or elevated core temperature, and avoid vigorous scrubbing or use of exfoliants.
- To reduce the chance of dark or light spots, avoid sun exposure for two months. Use sunscreen (SPF 25 or higher) at all times throughout the treatment period and for one-to-two months following.
- Do not pick/scratch/wax/thread/tweeze the area.
- Avoid picking or scratching the treated skin.
Do not use any other hair removal methods or products, other than shaving, on the treated area during your laser treatments, as this will prevent you from achieving the best results.

How many treatments will I need?
Since hair grows in stages, multiple treatments are needed. Typically, patients require three to six treatments.
Does It Hurt?
Most patients describe the sensation as similar to that of a rubber band snapping on the skin, which immediately stops after treatment.
How quickly will I see results?
Treatments are usually scheduled to occur every four to eight weeks. Throughout your treatment plan, you can expect to see a gradual decrease in hair thickness and density.
